Update on Once Upon A Time – First Six Episodes

Update on Once Upon A Time – First Six Episodes
Once Upon A Time Season 3 airs on ABC. Meanwhile more information has been released about the first six episodes. Giving a clearer picture of how the third season is taking shape. Episode 1 The Heart of the Truest Believer
Season 2 ended on quite a cliffhanger with Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin), Charming (Josh Dallas), Regina (Lana Parrilla) & Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle), all aboard the Jolly Roger captained by none other than Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) himself, as they sailed through a portal – arriving in Neverland to try and find Emma’s son Henry (Jared Gilmore) who was captured on orders by Peter Pan (Robbie Kay)
Meanwhile most of the characters are still in Storybrooke, as Gold left Belle (Emilie De Ravin) in charge. With Gold’s son Baelfire/ Neal (Michael Raymond James) back in Fairytale Land together with Aurora (Sarah Bolger), Mulan (Jamie Chung) and Prince Phillip (Julian Morris).
The Jolly Roger gang are bound to face their own set of challenges and adventures during the first episode. While we may find out a little bit more about why Tamara and Greg brought Henry to Peter Pan. Did Peter know, Rumplestiltskin would come and save his grandson?
Episode 2 Lost Girl
Thanks to TV Line, we know that this will be a Snow /  Charming centric episode. We’ll find out how Regina reacted when she found out that Snow was awakened from the sleeping curse.“Who first told her?” (Adam Horowitz)
As the Genie (Giancarlo Esposito )is set for a return as the Mirror, there’s a good chance he might have broken the news to the Evil Queen.
Episode 3 Quite a Common Fairy
It’s been confirmed that this episode will focus on Tinkerbell’s (Rose McIver) origin, featuring The Blue Fairy (Keegan Connor Tracy). Sadly it looks like Amy Acker won’t be able to return as Nova for this episode. (Amy has been made a regular in Person of Interest) During Comic-Con and other twitter chats it has been firmly established that Tinkerbell, has a complicated relationship with Captain Hook / Killian Jones (Colin O’Donoghue) and one other character…which could be Rumple or Regina (Lana Parrilla).
Episode 4 Nasty Habits
Not much information has been given yet. Maybe the episode will follow the theme of the fairies? It could feature Rumplestiltskin – Mr.Gold (Robert Carlyle) and the fairies of Storybrooke, who as we all remember were nuns during the curse. Perhaps we’ll see multiple back flash moments of how Rumplestiltskin made a deal with the fairies – going back and forth between the Dark One and Mr.Gold?
Episode 5 Good Form
This episode will feature the highly anticipated back story of Captain Hook – Killian Jones. Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis already teased that we would learn how Killian became a pirate. Which would imply seeing the scene where his father abandons him at the docks, when he was a child.
Episode 6 Ariel
The Little Mermaid has been cast with JoAnna Garcia as Ariel. TV Line confirmed that Prince Eric is in the process of being cast and won’t be a character we’ve already met.
Edward Kitsis said about Ariel:
“She’s somebody who wants to see the world. That spirit will run in her DNA still, but we’ll meet her in a surprising way.”
There are many theories about Ariel, some mention she could well be Killian’s mother, which would most definitely be a surprising spin! Naturally everyone is wondering who will play Ursula – will it be Regina?
Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis talked to TV Line about what we can really expect from the Neverland Season (first 11 episodes).
Eddy Kitsis:
“Neverland as a Season is like one giant movie. And like any adventure movie, there’s romance, there are things that are terrifying, and there are things that are heartbreaking. That was always our goal, to have that big, summer movie feel. Promising a mix of uplift, romance, action and quieter moments”
Adam Horowitz:
“The best kind of roller coaster is the one that goes through all of that stuff.”
Neverland arc as an epic adventure movie? We like that a lot! Plenty of adventures to be had aboard the Jolly Roger, while sailing round Neverland and meeting lots of new characters. Meeting Peter Pan will most definitely be a highlight, as well as finding out why Pan has such a terrifying affect on some of the Jolly Roger gang.
Rumplestiltskin mentioned he can’t survive a head on confrontation with Pan – unless maybe he turns back into the Dark One? Then again Horowitz and Kitsis said that the undoing of the Dark One in the prophecy, isn’t necessarily a bad thing… Will be very interesting to see what will happen!
As for romance, there’ll definitely be more RumBelle as well as Snowing, and it does look like Robin Hood might be the new love interest of Regina. As we’re bound to see Ariel, and Eric is being cast, we can assume that they’ll be a new couple on Once Upon A Time – unless they put such a spin on things that they’ve somehow drifted apart. Remember anything is possible!
The CaptainSwan shippers are getting really excited to see if Emma will indeed ‘hook up’ with Killian Jones. There’s a strong possibility there, but at the same time there’s always Neal in the background. One thing is for sure there’ll be plenty of angst and drama…
