The Little Mermaid WILL Splish Splash Into Once Upon A Time!

Well it's about time we got some REAL answers on this!
Once Upon A Time has spun its magic to retell the classic stories of Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Mulan, and Aurora, but we have somehow YET to see classic human-fishy hybrid Ariel!!
What the hell gives, Edward Kitsis? What, does Adam Horowitz not care for seafood much???
WELL! We now have some clarity behind the neglected storyline.
And it's absolutely beautiful!!! The creators reveal:

"We have ideas for Ariel. When we introduce her is up in the air because we're still figuring out what we want to do. There's a possibility we'll see her. She's one of our favorite characters. If and when we do it, we just want to make sure we do it right. The thing that we love to do and that we will continue to do is, we do love to be able to say, here's the backstory of an iconic character, but it's not what you think. So for Beauty and the Beast, we realized the beast was Rumpelstiltskin. And we realized Bae was with the Darlings, and that Red Riding Hood was the wolf. We still want to be able to show you our versions of things, and of course Ariel is at the top of the list."

YESS!!! We knew you both were geniuses!!!
Whatever comes along with their retelling of the Little Mermaid, we're 110% sure it's gonna be brilliant. So basically… don't let us down, lovah boys!! LOLz!!
Hmm.. who should play the red-headed mystical creature??
P.S. To be honest… back when show star Ginnifer Goodwin told us Ariel was who she wanted to see most of all, we knew it wouldn't be that far-fetched for our wish to finally come true. We're just happy the creators are actually discussing it sooner than later.
