With Nealfire (Michael Raymond-James) back and Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) potentially gunning for her son, Emma's (Jennifer Morrison) life is more complicated than ever on Once Upon a Time. In a new, spoiler-y interview with TVLine, Jennifer Morrison dished on the consequences of "Manhattan" (Season 2, Episode 14) for Emma.

Is Rumple really going to try to kill Henry (Jared Gilmore)? "There’s now this looming threat, basically, on Henry’s life that no one’s aware of, and it’s something I think they’re setting up to pay off over time," Jennifer explained. "If there’s anything we know about Gold, it’s that he will do whatever it takes to save himself. "

But she also acknowledges that Rumple has a good side, a side that can love. And he even has a "bizarre 'code of ethics' to his evil." We continue to hope that his better nature will prevent him from murdering his own grandson.
What about Neal? As for the romance of it all, Jennifer emphasizes that Emma isn't going to forgive Neal anytime soon, even if she does understand a bit better why he abandoned her. That said, we will see a hint of "Oh, I really don’t want to hear about this guy having someone he’s in love with" when she finds out he's engaged.

Of course, we also shouldn't discount Hook (Colin O’Donoghue), who does have that "kindred spirit" connection with Emma.
